Free : Cool Audio Book

Tolstoy wrote this short story in 1886. But I was reminded of it today in a different context. I usually shop for my music, books (& sometimes electronics) on this popular site say ABC.. recently I find a cool audio book from ABC for loyal customer.
now the problem is the cool audiobook is product of site DEF and I created a user account there to download my book. So what the big deal someone might say

But the Cool book is not in popular MP3 format so I ended up downloading DEF's browser to play my cool audio book on my Laptop. now DEF is also giving me 2 audio books free every month ... So one may ask well what is the problem. Problem is the Cool audio book can be directly downloaded on Apple iPod and now I'm convincing myself how 3 hours of my daily commute can be productive if I can listen to the audio books on cool jazzy easy to carry iPod

Apart from the Question How much needs does a person have ,another thought that strikes me is how the right marketing tactics may induce a customer think of buying a product which may not really be on his/her wish list to start with.

Dreams Of Common People

Real life stories of people like Kaushalya Shankar Udmalay and few more like these close to home, reaffirm my trust in ways of life ,and that with proper work ethic & Principlecentric life every dream of everyone in this world will surely be a reality.

This is a good case-study to all people for who rather then focussing pro-actively on the things under their area of influence ,keep blaming external factors like slow job market, government change, war ,natural calamity ..... passing of celestial body D#12345 in constellation of pegasus blah blah blah....

If one is walking on right path his conscious mind subconscious mind all will assist him to reach his goal. And like it happened for one shepherd who set on journey to seek treasure near pyramids in Egypt

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Filmi Chakkar

Last week a colleague of mine with whom I have worked in Minneapolis had a good news to share "Its a Boy !!!" .I know this person ever since when we worked together few years back in Mumbai.Apart from the fact that he is very competent in his skills, very helpful, one more thing he is well known is as a die hard Aishwarya Rai Fan screen savers wallpapers,Posters et al

Coming back to Baby Talk, when I learnt this good news I called him to wish him & his wife for 8 pound 25" bundle of joy. After exchanging pleasantries and afore mentioned specs I inquired so what are you naming him ? Prem !! Pat came the reply. Whaaat hey I know you are a Ash fan..what on Earth made you name your son after Salman's (Ash's Ex-) lucky screen name? I was kinda Puzzled ."You know what? you were the first one to catch this !!" he replied. "Actually my wife is a die-hard Salman fan.So this one was her call" he laughed sheepishly

I am looking forward to wish him someday when he becomes Proud Papa of Parvati(Paro)

India Shining: On Fastrack Of Globalization

When American people cry on fact that Indian Kids ( In Desi Call centers) with Fake American accents are attending to their daily Problems. Indians have fast tracked on Path of Globalization by Voting to power Italian Woman with Accented Hindi to solve problems faced by the nation :D

In the next 50-100 hours power mongers will be squabbling for a bigger piece of pie and all at expense of National Interest.

Looking at a teenage girl flipping burgers or a guy waiting at table ,or the lady at the train station smoking while waiting for the train.I won't be surprised that I'm looking at India's next Premiere ...Well you never know...its just matter of getting married in the right family. And next thing you know power hungry Party workers ....knock knock knocking at your doorsteps begging to lead the Billion spineless souls like themselves

Festival Of Life

Somewhere I wrote this " Perceptions changes ,with more maturity being added by wisdom that life gives us is perfectly in line with ways of Life... So keep celebrating the festival called life every moment & Every day"

Within so many things happening every day & every moment in life ,it would be a dreamer's claim that s/he indeed celebrates every moment of life as it comes his/her way. With so many plans calculations sometimes crumbling all of a sudden. So many things you want to happen ,but not happening the way you want them to work out.Its quite like to get all worked up due to things which are beyond the your circle of influence. And all you do is whimper, cry, yell In this process all you do is hurting yourself more than anyone else.

What else could I do ,I ask myself. And no one else but I know the answer that my conscience knows ,Every other thing may be out of my control, but at all times one thing that is in control,is myself and the way I respond to events around me .Yelling ,cribbing crying is just a reactive response.Only person that is under my circle of influence is me .And the Best I can do for that person is working with the flow ,rather than getting worked up and celebrating the festival called life every moment and Every day

Friends: Grand Finale

Thursday was grand finale of sitcom Friends for benefit of those in India who follow this one very closely ,I won't be spoil sport by telling the ending.Only I would say It ended the way it was expected to.Not many surprises. But the spontaneity element was missing in the entire final season,& in last episode apart from Joey, rest of the gang was not in its elements and the way it was concluded the plot is very common place in many of Bollywood story lines.

What friends meant to me .... I started seeing various episodes sometime in 99-2000 & enjoyed their company ,especially the characters of Phoebe & Joey ,and to certain extend Chandler's Sarcasm.

Not wanting to sound judgmental I have seen this Sitcom had tremendous impact on the yuppie generation in urban India, especially for people whom friends became a standard of Cool & Non Cool People to hang around with, rather friends for Yuppies are just Bunch of People who are cool & with whom we have good time .

In that sense I had already outgrown for this sitcom to make any impact on my way ,and still stick with good old buddies few people who have supported me in thick & thin . All said and done I still had lighter moments watching Friends ,and I'll definitely not miss them as any old episode watched on it own still helps me unwind after a real long day at work .....

And I have my DVDs as usual when I want to watch My Friends . especially that hippie gal called Phoebe ....
