You can take a horse to water...

And make it drink it to ...well that's all I have to say seeing Aishwarya's performance in the movie Raincoat. First time she has emerged as an actress ,unlike the wax doll like stuff she has been doing right from her entry in Industry ..Full credit to Rituparno who has really got the best out of her .

Rituparno Ghosh's rendition of very well known story of O.Henry is very tight gripping. He has never lost focus on the scope of his script and really delivered very well scripted movie.

Ajay Devgan ...well this man is going strength to strength ever since zakhm, the way he underplays his character simply superb.

All in all 3 &1/2 Stars for this movie

Life is beautiful!!!

Article by Swami Vivekananda : I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this:"You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love." This was how I saw it:As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it find. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you. For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature.

If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.

Give and don't expect.Advise, but don't order.Ask, but never demand.

It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring." Passing thought... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.....

Life is beautiful!!!

Autobiography of a Yogi

I'd been reading this book for last 10 days . A must read for those spiritually inclined. Paramhansa Yogananda the writer has written in this autobiography the lives of his Predecessors Sri Yukteshwar and Sri Lahiri Mahasaya. the Metaphysical experiences of various people in the book sound sheer magical and sound near impossible to happen.

Apart from Sprituality This book is sort of advertisement of a Meditation/Yoga Technique called the "Kriya Yoga" taught to the predecessors of Paramhansa by Deathless Yogi "Babaji". The description of Still alive Babaji, the incidents associated sound too magical to be true. And all in all I got a serious impression that this book has been heavily edited by people who took over after the Samadhi of Yogananda,so as to propagate the "Self Realisation Meditation of Kriya"

Upon researching the Internet I came across multiple groups claiming to be authentic exponents of kriya and rightful disciples of Babaji.

As I written above its a good read for the spiritually and the inquisitive minds alike

Random Happenings

Of few close friends that I have, last one is soon to tie knot. The Boy met Gal during various trekking activities he has been participating for couple of years now. The Boy in question and his fiancée, proposed to their family to have a simple function with close relatives and few family friends. But now their families have the classic Indian stand. What will people say blah blah blah. When the boy is convincing all & sundry, rather than playing a poor host by inviting horde of acquaintances and then not able to spend time with them, wouldnt it be better to invite few close friends with whom they can share the Happiest Moment of their life. What is the point in wasting money on days cause when that money can be really put to use in their future married life. When will we mature as a society?

Last weekend I was not well and visited my family doctor and a very close friend of mine. I was visiting him after nearly two years now. So after usual checkup prescription etc; we were catching up with each other. "So Doc whats latest ...whats happening?.To tell you truth life has become so very monotonous, I get up at six in morning, wake up kids, make them ready for school, and drivethem to school. get back ,shave shower and drive to dispensary .I'm here till nearly two pm .reach home, wife returns from her clinic, wehave lunch nap for half an hour ,alarm goes off wake up ,get the kids from school. sit with them to help them in school work ,six pm off to dispensary again right up to eleven p.m. Well thats about it. My wife and I yell at each other sometimes that we dont spend quality time with each other with the family ,everything is so very routine so very monotonous he cribbed ...next question to me so what are your plans ,when are you .....

I seek profundity, the doors where I saw its glimpses dont welcome me. Rest all around is all shallow glimmer; Ienter sometimes only to find its just quicksand...I dont want to get sucked in ...
