DUST if you MUST!

"A house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture."

I can't tell you how many countless hours that I have spent CLEANING!I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect -"in case someone came over." Then I realized one day that no one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!

Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the "condition" of my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.

Life is short. Enjoy it! Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake a cake or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time, with rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind, and when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.

PS: Some nice thoughts that came to me in mail

Innocent Text Messages ??

Ever since I have taken charge of my cellphone I get these innocent ,witty, corny text messages from "A cellphone Number".While I was away the cellphone was used by my dad ,on checking with him I learnt that these have been regular visitors in the INBOX ..rather only visitors . so sometime two-three weeks back I replied the message and explained the mistaken identity case . The person on other side vehemently says that the number is given to him by some girl he met at some college festival last year. Now when I tell him this is the third year I'm using this number .he apologizes . the messages stop

Last few days again they resume one every couple of days. So finally today I call him ,Ask him about the unsolicited messages .. he apologizes profusely and explains some of his Groups are still referring the number. I hope the Text messages are done away for good .

But all the same it raises so many questions in mind ....

The Waiting Game

How does it feel to run on a plateau? especially after climbing an uphill trek.for a moment one feels relieved of having negotiated successfully the challenges of the climb,a sense of accomplishment .But after a while boredom creeps in a sense of not heading anywhere.feel like a mouse trapped ,running with all strength and might and heading nowhere.sustaining onself in these moments of boredom,a feeling of being dislocated from surroundings and keeping onself in top form ,well prepared to negotiate challenges, whenever they may come up.How well and how long I can play this waiting game ,with patience ,persistence
is the Question
